As Rachel stated in a recent post, the Presidential election has been more likened to a reality competition. Rachel says American Idol but I’m going to go with America’s Next Top Model. There is a more emphasis than should be on Palin’s fashion choices or how much Cindy McCain spent on her outfits (cough$313,000cough) or if she wore the same accessories more than once.
Ridiculous, I know.

Barack, Hillary, Michelle and Joe After the DNC!
Barack Obama is beyond psyched he got the nomination. Hillary’s got no complaints after her well received speech. Michelle is in the back doin’ her thang like it’s nobody’s business. Joe Biden is just going along for the ride!
If this is supposed to be a Republican smear tactic attempting to portray the first ever African American presidential candidate as some sort of Starbucks, gas guzzling, Jeep Wrangler driving elitist then I’m sorry. There’s nothing more I would like to see than the Obama clan and the rest of the Democrats out celebrating the historical feats they have achieved over the past 18 or so months!

The New Yorker
The cover of the latest issue of The New Yorker has been the talk of the town for the past couple days now. What was intended to be a satirical comment regarding Republican attacks misrepresenting Obama’s faith, religion and patriotism has unfortunately backfired.
The caricature, drawn by Barry Blitt, portays Obama in traditional Muslim dress and his wife, Michelle, dressed in military combat gear holding a machine gun. The White House hopefuls are standing in the Oval Office, pounding fists while the the American flag burns in the fireplace just below a hanging portrait of Osama Bin Laden.
