He presently owns and manages 13 fast food restaurants of Sushi Itto brand, which is one of the most popular Japanese fast food brands in Mexico today. In total, Sushi Itto has over 150 joints across the globe and plans to open much more in the time to come. Omar Yunes started his first Sushi Itto joint in Mexico City when he was only 21 years old. It shows his entrepreneurial spirit and his will to achieve. Even though his father is a politician and he comes from a well-to-do family, he has never sought an entitled life and looked for making his list of achievements.
Omar Yunes recently won the Best Franchisee of the World Competition, which is one of the most respected contests where hundreds of participants from 34 countries participate. The competition is held to set a standard in managing a franchise and motivate the franchise units’ owners to manage their restaurants well. Omar Yunes was named the winner of the 2015 edition of the BFW Competition, which is considered one of the biggest achievements in the food industry. From the very beginning, Omar Yunes has strived to maintain high standards in the restaurants he open and personally supervises the functioning of every department of his restaurants. Today, as an owner of 13 Sushi Itto joints, he continues to be involved as much possible with the everyday business of all his joints.
