A friend of mine recently moved into a new apartment. The day before the big move she went to drop off some boxes, but walked in on an exterminator hard at work. He told her that this was the 5th time he had been to this place in the past year and that this was [...] Continue Reading

Bill Clinton swooped into North Korea on a mission to rescue two Current.com journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee. He succeeded, but it’s not as though the negotiations were going to be particularly hard. After all, Kim Jong-il just wanted some Western attention–as usual–and he got it. He just wanted the U.S. to acknowledge that [...] Continue Reading

Ghoulish Geithner has already started on the path towards tax hikes by doing what all good sneaks do: Dropping the hard news through subtle hints that work subconsciously to lower expectations in the minds of the audience. Geithner appeared with bubble blower and one of the causes of the 2000 recession, Alan Greenspan, in an [...] Continue Reading

Like Taco Bell and bowel movements, or single-ply and chaffing, when you drink, and drink properly, a part of you not only expects the hangover to follow suit, but wholeheartedly welcomes it into your morning after. Many will rationalize that in order to experience drunkenness in all its glory, we must sacrifice the next day and offer it to the almighty deities of alcohol as penance for the immediate enjoyment to ensue. But this is where we've misconstrued the significance of the glorious hangover. Continue Reading

I’m really surprised there was ever research done in regards to the dangers of heroin use. They could’ve saved the money. All they really needed to do was ask drug users how they take their drug of choice. Continue Reading

I’ve been doing some thinking lately–not because it’s trendy, either–and I’ve realized that my recent portrayal of Dick Cheney as Satan may have been an incorrect assessment of the man. Think about it. Dick Cheney has faced death on multiple occasions; each time he has escaped, recovering in his secret lair 1,000 feet underground. Not [...] Continue Reading

Lost Hope in the Bowels of America. Under The Docks. Terrible Psychosis…They’ll Never Find Us Now! I ran my fingers through the cold sand on a pleasantly warm Wednesday morning on the beach in Coney Island, enjoying the wind whipping my face and watching the waves break and the water roll back out. Clumps of brown [...] Continue Reading

The recent incident involving NFL running back Ryan Moats is probably not the way Moats wanted to become popular. But as most athletes say, “It is what it is.” And what it is, is a reminder that not all cops are out to protect and serve. Some just happen to be bullies, dicks, lowlives, and [...] Continue Reading
