Like Father Like Pole Dancer?

Omar Bakri Mohammed was a British immigrant before being banned from country for his radical violent views. The Syrian born preacher first made waves when praising the 9/11 terrorists as the “Magnificent 19.” Bakri is a strict Muslim who requires his family to obey the laws of his religion, including the women wearing a veil and “cover all” clothes.

When his daughter was 16 he arranged a marriage for her with a Turkish man. But, whoops, that didn’t work out. Not only did Yasmin Fostok leave her arranged life to raise her son on her own but, she got on the pole. That’s right, Yasmin is a pole dancer. And, a drinker. Sarah Barracuda according to Wikipedia

Since the RNC convention, the McCain campaign has been using the song “Barracuda,” by Heart when Sarah Palin takes the stage. Despite the cease and desist that the band has placed on the campaign for using the song without permission they continue to play it. Sisters Nancy & Ann Wilson said this of the use of their song:

“Sarah Palin’s views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. We ask that our song ‘Barracuda’ no longer be used to promote her image. The song ‘Barracuda’ was written in the late 70s as a scathing rant against the soulless, corporate nature of the music business, particularly for women. (The ‘barracuda’ represented the business.) While Heart did not and would not authorize the use of their song at the RNC, there’s irony in Republican strategists’ choice to make use of it there.”

Sarah Palin claims she received the nickname in high school because of the way she aggressively played basketball. And, it stuck. But why? Entourage: One of the Most Important Shows on Television

Those of you who do not have HBO or Netflix may be missing out on one of the most important television shows of our time. Entourage is the story of a Hollywood actor, his two friends, his brother & his agent, which is loosely based on the life of executive producer Mark Wahlberg.

In the show, we follow Vinnie Chase, played by Adrian Grenier through the trials and tribulations of an actor’s life. Yeah, exactly, totally important. OK, fine, it’s not the super cool Hollywood lifestyle that attracts me to the show. And, it’s not the super hot Hollywood actors that attract me to the show.
