The Future of Network TV

I suppose this was only a matter of time:

Twitter sensation Shit My Dad Says is headed to television.

CBS has picked up a comedy project based on the Twitter account, which has enlisted more than 700,000 followers since launching in August and has made its creator, Justin Halpern, an Internet star.  (THR)

Twitter feeding TV feeding ReTweets about Twitter feeding TV, ad infinitum.  The end of civilization is nigh.

I foresee a dark tomorrow when this becomes the mainstay of mass culture entertainment.  And on that day, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, and the internet will rebel at all the inane shit we’ve posted on it.
