How Does Skateboarding Manage To Keep Getting Cooler?

Posted on 14 May 2009 by Joe Dimeck

Once you think skateboarding has peaked, videos like this come to your attention.  The above video does the old Tony Hawk skateboarding video games a huge favor by making the game’s shenanigans seem possible in real life.  Granted, there’s no shot of William Spencer grinding a power line for 150 ft, but there’s still enough skull-popping tricks and stunts to appease any person who enjoys watching humans do cool stuff on a piece of wood with wheels.  And what Spencer brings to skateboarding is a Parkour-esque twist as all sorts of flips from high places onto a waiting skateboard is a common sight in his videos.  The above clip is Spencer’s part in The Denver Shop’s video, In Color.   Click through for more clips of awesome skating.

And what is a post featuring awesome skateboarding without Rodney Mullen?
