Twitter’s Foul-Mouthed Motherf*ckers

Posted on 07 April 2009 by Edward Song

I still hope and pray each night before bed that one day I’ll learn the dark and highly valued secrets of Twitter that everyone else seems to know, but until that day arrives, the following should help explain the allure of Twitter.

Lowly internet peasants, behold the classiness of the Twitter population!

cursebird

The aptly titled CurseBird provides live updates of the latest “Tweets” that eloquently include a curse word.  The results are tallied and displayed as a neat statistic on the front page.  Apparently, “fuck” is the curse of choice when these “Twittites” share with the world the nuanced happenings of their super important lives.

It’s really quite insightful, poignant, and beautiful.  You know it’s a groundbreaking idea when you wish you thought of something like this yourself. But honestly, there’s no way my brain could have birthed such genius — I don’t even know how to use the damn thing (both Twitter, and me ole noggin’).

Sympathetic internet-saavy RoneBreak patrons, teach me the ways.  Bestow me with thy pools of knowledge and twit my ignorant ass  hobagjones.
