Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong with teens these days? First we find out that they’re getting wasted by soaking tampons in alcohol and inserting them into (below the waist) orifices. Now we find tons of YouTube videos of America’s youth “smoking” Smarties candy. Kids these days are not as crazy as you think. there is more technology these days and we are just having fun. Correct me if im wrong, but the old generations are the ones that are the ones in charge of the world today. And no, teens do not love pot!! me and my friends have *smoked* smarties and we think drugs are stupid. Smoking isn’t a good term to use either, we just say it because it merely looks like you are smoking. However, all you do is crush the candy into powder and suck onto your tongue (not actually breathing it in) and blow it out! that is when the powder (which was just sitting on your tongue, not in your lunges like a real cigarette) will poof out into the air! This way kids/teens get the enjoyment and pleasure of looking like your smoking but not actually using a real cigarette! (which everyone knows you are not really smoking) So the older people of our world may think it is stupid, but you also were not born into a house with 3 flat screens and 2 computers, a cell phone in 3rd grade, and txting. You are used to playing out in the streets untill it gets dark and running inside to eat dinner. you had a few dolls and books and that was it. You even had to share phone lines with other peple! And im not saying anything bad about that, but thats what you are used to, so anything that is different you think is wrong. Just like when these teens grow up, and they have kids, their kids will thing out generation is weird. By then we may have flying cars and live on Mars! Pretending to smoke with candy and blowing candy powder out of your mouth (not lungs) is perfectly fine. Maybe you should be more concerned about the economy or global warming. Last time i checked, those are important topics. Everyone runs out of money, WE ARE DEAD! The tempetures get high and dozens of animal and plant species become extinct, WE STILL DIE! Teens crush up candy and blow it out of their mouth, WE DON’T DIE!!! I think I made my point.

Anonymous, not that I don’t see where you are coming from, but do you realize that you and your friends, just by making these videos, are putting smoking on some kind of fucked up pedestal? Perhaps the reason why the children are doing this,is because their parents are too strict. My parents allowed me to have a sip of wine or beer as a child, and when I was around 13 years old I was able to have a half a cooler under the supervision of my parents. As I got older I was able to drink more, and my parents would buy me alcohol. I think people are forgetting that things like getting drunk as a teen or trying pot is all apart of coming age. I am now a university student with a good average. I think maybe parents have become way to strict, which as made children resort to other ways of getting high, such as using chemical? I am not in anyway saying it is ok for teens to be doing drugs, but would you rather your child experiment with a little bit of alcohol/smoke pot, or use really harmfull chemicals because that is all they can acces?

This takes me back. I remember going on road trips with my family growing up and I loved buying those candy cigarettes at the gas station. Is this really any different? I’m 28 and getting to this point I’ve tried things that I knew were wrong or bad but they didn’t stick. I don’t smoke pot or do drugs and I rarely drink. I do smoke cigarettes but I’m certain that would have happened without the candy cigarettes of my youth. In today’s society we are bombarded with so many different messages and kids are curious so their going to try things even if we don’t approve. All we can do is teach them the consequences and let them make their own choices.
