When asked about Tom Daschle’s tax evasion, President Obama did not evade the question and put it simply: “I screwed up.”
The audacity of change! A president admitting his mistakes so boldly! What in tarnation? The more Obama attempts to make good on his word, the more awesome he becomes. He keeps getting better, which only causes the cynical side of me to mutter incessantly to myself, “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. He might be the Anti-Christ! Oh no, if those nuts are right, I’m doomed. GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF, YOU DOLT!”
Right, let’s get a grip for a second. After all, I don’t want to be responsible for perpetuating such nonsense. Enough sick and twisted people have already done a fine job of spreading ridiculous rumors about our president.
As of now, President Obama has been doing a fine job given the circumstances under which he assumed the presidency. Let’s Obama that he keeps it up.
