Before Barack Obama started his quest to become President of the United States numerous people quietly voiced their concerns for his life. Over the past few months with him winning the democratic nomination and becoming the leading candidate, the fears that people had were replaced by joy and hope with him becoming president. Lately the fears that first crept into people’s minds are back with the latest campaign rhetoric.

John McCain and Sarah Palin have tried to diminish Barack Obama by bringing up associations that he may once had over the years. They have quietly brought up his middle name to incite fears but also to reintroduce people to their hatred that once laid dormant in their hearts. John McCain and Sarah Palin are inviting people to take up arms in protest of Barack Obama. They are indirectly telling their base that he can’t be trusted and if he is elected their lives will never be the same.

Sean Hannity is also asking his supporters to consider hurting Obama. Sure he doesn’t outright say it on his radio show but he is well aware of his listeners and what fuels them. Sean Hannity and his colleagues can be heard throughout the day on various radio stations inciting people into action. They want to see Obama go down inorder to win an election. John McCain can try and discourage the hatred that is now spewing from his supporters all he wants but the damage is already done.

This country has seen numerous leaders fall who were well intended. They were once in a lifetime leaders who the world has never seen before. Barack Obama is a once in a lifetime leader who commands the world like John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln, who was blessed with eyes to see beyond what was before him. Barack Obama has the ability to change this world and turn it upside down for the better. John McCain and Sarah Palin are trying to distinguish his flame at all cost. They want to win and they are willing to compromise their spirit to do so. At a John McCain rally a woman called Barack Obama an Arab. John McCain can be seen taking the mike and telling the woman that Barack Obama is a decent man. John McCain you did this. You fanned the flames and started a fire that now blazes out of control. John McCain and Sarah Palin represent the worst of politicans this country has to offer.

We have come so far as a country yet we are about to go back even further after this is all said and done. The world is watching us and are appalled at our hatred. The world is amazed at how we can’t see beyond one’s name. They are dismayed at how we can discount one’s success as nothing because he doesn’t look or speak the same. The world is shocked!

I shall pray tonight and hope the steady arm of God will protect this man. I shall pray that the secret service is not asleep at the wheel with this man’s life, who has a wife and two adoring kids awaiting him at home. I shall pray for John McCain and Sarah Palin that God will have mercy on their souls, and that the blood of Barack Obama will never be on their hands. Lets pray and hope.
