Katie Couric Wokeup This Morning And Thought....

October 2, 2008 by Christopher Higgins

Editor’s Note - The following article is a submission from RoneBreak reader Christopher Higgins. Maybe you’re interested in writing for us but don’t have the time to fully commit or maybe you just want to share a great article you found. Either way, check out our submit page and give it a shot!

I spent the last few days watching the Katie Couric interview with Alaskan governor Sara Palin. After watching the interview I am amazed at where we are in this country. I am appalled that this crime could be taking place and intelligent journalist are sitting by acting like Pontius Pilate washing their hands clean of the matter. Ms. Couric did her job. She exposed the fraud which is Sara Palin. Ms. Couric is the alarm that we all needed in order to take action. Sara Palin is uniquely unqualified to be in this position. She has no understanding of the world and the journey of its people. Sure she can relate to hockey mothers and working mothers with multiple kids, but what about the rest of us? Isn’t the job of the second highest position in the world is to be all things to everyone. She is so way out of her league. I wrote in a previous blog that my eight year old daughter has traveled to more countries than governor Palin, I now want to also add that she has read more books than Sara Palin.

After these interviews imagine what Katie Couric must be thinking. Ms. Couric who studied , travelled the world, is well read, must be in awe of why she wasn’t tap for this job. While interviewing this woman it must of crossed her mind how much more qualified for the job she is over this woman. If Katie was an undecided voter before these interviews took place, her mind was made up as a result of this Sara Palin mess. I often contend that Sara Palin may be a wonderful woman, and superb mother, but its time for her to put country first. Its time for the American people to understand being a Maverick is one thing, being an idiot is something all different. John McCain can boast all he wants about how he has bucked his party time after time, but the facts are he has created this mess. He put this lady in a position where she would fail. If he wanted her so badly in his administration he should put her in charge of energy when he got in office, because that seemed to be her area of expertise. Don’t compromise the future of the country with this woman. Don’t ruin her with this immature selection. I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent guy, but there are certain things that I know are out of my league and when I attempt to act as if I belong I often come across as an idiot. I may be able to bull my way around for a minute, but eventually the real cream will rise to the top. Sara Palin’s cream has risen. Only if Katie Couric was running. Now there is a woman I would vote for.
